What is Rehabilitation Services?

Rehabilitation Services at Aurora Advanced Healthcare includes both occupational and physical therapy. We are committed to providing therapy services to people of all ages who have acute or chronic pain and dysfunction. Oftentimes pain and injury stem from larger issues such as muscle imbalances, difficulty with coordination or even issues with flexibility. With a physician’s recommendation, your occupational or physical therapist will perform an evaluation to find the source of your problems. With the assistance of the electronic medical record and seamless communication, we can work as a team with you and your doctor to determine the appropriate course of treatment that will help to improve, if not fully restore your function in daily activities. Your rehabilitation will include education regarding your pain and dysfunction, so that you gain a better understanding of how a recommended course of treatment can help make you well. As a team, you and your therapist will create goals for you to work toward. Your therapy may include, exercise, stretching, any number of modalities and a home exercise program for you to work on outside of therapy.
