Laser Services

All laser treatments provided in the Plastic Surgery Department at Aurora Advanced Healthcare are performed by an experienced registered nurse under the medical supervision of the plastic surgeon. Our nurse, Terri Edgar, is certified in the use and application of our laser systems and has worked as a laser specialist since 2003. She has over 25 years of nursing experience.

Terri has extensive knowledge and experience in understanding how different laser systems work and how they affect varying types of skin. Patient safety and consistency of care are very important to Terri. Laser treatments are customized to meet the individual needs of each patient, realistic expectations are addressed from the beginning, and patients are educated on how to care for their skin before and after treatments to ensure optimal results.

The Plastic Surgery Department has 2 laser/light systems (Vbeam and Elos) that are used to rejuvenate and improve the appearance of skin, treat vascular and congenital lesions, and remove unwanted hair.
