A Hematologist/Oncologist is a physician who specializes in the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of diseases of the blood, such as anemia, leukemia, lymphoma, sickle cell disease, the thalassemias and blood clot disorders. A Hematologist /Oncologist may also be involved with work regarding bone marrow or blood transfusion.
