Patient education is important in the treatment process. If patients understand their deficits or disabilities, they can better understand their therapy goals and exercise programs.
In 1983, I received my B.S. in Occupational Therapy from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. I became a certified hand therapist in 1991.
At work, I specialize in hand and upper extremity disorders. Evaluation and treatment, splint fabrication, activities of daily living and education are key components in rehabilitation of hand and upper extremity patients.
Away from the clinic, I enjoy spending time with my husband and children. I love gardening, sports and sewing in my free time.
