"Primarily, I am a coach and teacher. I provide patients with the tools they need to get themselves well, the knowledge of why they are doing it and the encouragement to do it."
In 1982, I earned my bachelor’s degree in physical therapy from Marquette University in Milwaukee. Since then, I have taken part in numerous continuing education courses with specialized training in orthopaedics, functional biomechanics and sports medicine.
Professionally, I am especially interested in orthopaedics, sports medicine and functional biomechanics. I enjoy looking at the patient as a whole and treating the injury plus other deficits which can contribute to the problem. I keep each individual patient’s interests and goals in mind with the ultimate goal of returning the patient to full activity.
Away from the clinic, I enjoy spending time with my family, downhill and water skiing, biking and gardening. In 1982, I became a member of the National Ski Patrol and I continue patrolling locally.
