“Helping patients to understand their disease and its treatment is essential to establishing a partnership to deal with serious illness. My goal is to make sure that every patient is able to understand the choices they face and the treatments we give.”
I earned my medical degree from Yale University in New Haven, Conn. My internal medicine residency was completed at the University of Minnesota Hospitals in Minneapolis. I also completed a fellowship in oncology and hematology through the University of Washington Hospitals in Seattle.
I am board certified in internal medicine, medical oncology and hematology.
I have special interest in lymphoma, myeloma, hematologic malignancies, and malignancies of the head and neck. I also perform stem cell transplants. Treating patients with cancer and blood diseases requires an intelligent approach combining highly complex treatments with compassionate application of these tools.
