I earned my medical degree from Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Medical College. I completed my residency in internal medicine at Columbia St. Mary's Hospital in Milwaukee. I completed fellowships in cardiovascular disease and electrophysiology at Aurora Sinai Medical Center. I am board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease and clinical cardiac electrophysiology.

I am an internationally recognized electrophysiologist known for setting a new standard in the treatment of heart rhythm disorders. I was the first U.S. clinical investigator to implant an atrial defibrillator. I also performed the first successful epicardial ablation of atrial fibrillation in the U.S. and implanted the first defibrillator in the Indian subcontinent. I have been listed in the Best Doctors in America.

Author of more than 100 abstracts, I have published more than 60 original manuscripts and 50 reviews or book chapters. I am a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and a member of the North American Society of Pacing and Electrophysiology. I am currently clinical professor of medicine at the University of Wisconsin Medical School - Milwaukee Clinical Campus and director of the Clinical and Research Electrophysiology Laboratory at Aurora Sinai Medical Center.
