I earned my medical degree from Faculdade de Ciencias Medicas Universidade Estadual de Campinas in Brazil. I also have a Master of Science in infectious disease from Escola Paulista de Medicina in São Paulo, Brazil. I completed a residency in infectious diseases at the Hospital do Servidor Publico Estadual in São Paulo, Brazil. I also completed a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in hematology and oncology through the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. I am board certified in internal medicine, medical oncology and hematology.
My special interests are in benign hematology, leukemia, lymphoma, lung cancer, breast cancer and general oncology.
Away from the clinic, I enjoy spending time with my wife and children, downhill skiing, cycling, hiking, playing tennis and traveling.
