“Our team enjoys taking great care of all the cardiac and thoracic patients, one at a time.”
In 1987, I earned my medical degree from Tufts University in Medford, Mass. My general surgery internship and residency were completed at Tufts New England Medical Center in Boston, Mass., where
I also completed my cardiothoracic research and fellowship. In addition to my clinical practice, I currently serve as a clinical instructor in cardiothoracic surgery at the Medical College of Wisconsin. I am board certified in thoracic surgery and general cardiac surgery.
My practice focus is adult cardiac and thoracic surgery. I have special interest in off-pump/beating heart surgery in a continuing effort to make coronary bypass surgery safer for my patients. I have been one of the leading surgeons to perfect off-pump surgery, and now I proctor many other cardiac surgeons from around the country on how to perform this technique. I was the first surgeon in the Midwest to demonstrate live beating heart surgery on the Internet with an interactive forum.
