I believe strongly in the power of the doctor-patient relationship. Communication and knowledge are the two greatest tools a physician can use. I try to fuse a practice based on evidence-based medicine with the “art” of medicine in a way that is appropriate for each individual patient.
In 1987, I received my M.D. from the University of Illinois College of Medicine. I completed my Family Practice Internship and Residency through St. Michael Hospital in Milwaukee. I have been in private practice since 1990 and have enjoyed working in Ozaukee County since then. In addition, I have been involved with teaching medical students and residents and serving as the Chief of Staff at St. Michael Hospital. I have held a faculty position with the Medical College of Wisconsin since 1991, and was Associate Director for Women’s Health at a local family practice residency program. I am Board Certified in Family Practice.
Professionally, I have a special interest in women’s health, preventative medicine, sports medicine and chronic disease management.
Away from the clinic, I enjoy running, golf, reading, dogs, sports and spending time with my family and friends.
