"I firmly believe in providing my patients with the essential information regarding their conditions and treatment options, enabling them to make informed decisions and be active participants in developing the best treatment strategies."
After earning my medical degree at Cebu Institute of Medicine in the Philippines, I completed my residency in internal medicine at New York Medical College – Sound Shore Medical Center of Westchester in 2002. While there, I also served as chief resident. My rheumatology fellowship was completed at the University of Connecticut Health Center.
Prior to joining Aurora Advanced Healthcare, I practiced rheumatology for five years in Illinois. During that time, I also served as teaching faculty for the internal medicine residency program at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital. I was also a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University/Chicago Medical School.
Certified in internal medicine and rheumatology, I have special interest in rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, vasculitis and other autoimmune conditions. I also perform arthrocentesis and joint injections. I am certified by the International Society of Clinical Densitometry for Osteoporosis.
