I'm a strong believer in open communication between patients and physicians. Patient satisfaction is the most important thing to me and is what I strive for each day.

After receiving my M.D. in 1979 from the All India Institute of Medical Science in New Delhi, India, I came to Washington, D.C. in 1985 to complete both my internship and residency in Internal Medicine. In 1987, I began a two-year fellowship in Endocrinology and Metabolism with the New York University Medical Center. I am Board Certified in Internal Medicine and in Endocrinology, Metabolism and Diabetes.

As an endocrinologist, I specialize in treating hormonal disorders like diabetes, thyroid disease, osteoporosis and high cholesterol. My special interest is in on-going research in diabetes management and treatment.
