I encourage and motivate my patients to become active participants in charge of their medical care. I do this by providing them education regarding their disease process
and the treatment goals and options available through affiliation with the Kidney Institute.

In 1979, I earned my M.D. from Southern Illinois University. I completed my Internal Medicine internship and residency through the Cleveland Clinic Hospital in Ohio. I also completed my Nephrology fellowship at the University of Iowa Hospital. I am Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology.
