I graduated from Harvard University with honors before earning my medical degree at the Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine. My otolaryngology residency training was completed at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Prior to joining Aurora and Aurora Advanced Healthcare, I worked as a senior consultant and assistant professor at the Mayo Clinic. Currently, I am the Chairman of the Cancer Conference and Infection Control Committees at the Aurora Medical Center in Summit.

Board certified and a diplomate of the American Board of Otolaryngology, I am trained to provide comprehensive medical and surgical treatments for both adult and pediatric patients with simple and complex diseases of the ear, nose and throat. I have published numerous research papers in peer-reviewed journals and am a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery, American Rhinologic Society and Wisconsin Medical Society.

Some of my special interests include treating chronic sinusitis, thyroid/parathyroid disease, sleep apnea, voice disorders and swallowing dysfunction. I have extensive experience with minimally invasive surgical techniques for thyroid/parathyroid disease, complex sinus/nasal surgery, salivary gland disease, and head and neck cancers. I offer three minimally invasive surgical procedures unique to Wisconsin and the Milwaukee area: Transoral Robotic Surgery (TORS) and Transoral Laser Microsurgery (TLM) for head and neck cancer, and Sialendoscopy for salivary gland obstruction.

My wife, Kate, is a dermatologist at Aurora. We have three young sons and two dogs. I enjoy lacrosse, downhill skiing, snowboarding, mountain biking, triathlons, golf, volleyball, softball and medical missions.
