“When talking with a patient, I don’t just ask about their symptoms. I want to learn the bigger picture. Only then will I be able to develop and implement the most effective treatment plan for them.”

I earned my doctor of osteopathic medicine degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Pennsylvania. For five years, I served in the United States Air Force as a flight surgeon. My adult neurology residency and fellowship in movement disorders was completed at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. I am board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.

I have special training and provide botulinum toxin injections for spasticity, dystonia and migraines. In addition, I have expertise in deep-brain stimulation to help patients with movement disorders.

My special interests include Parkinson’s disease and Parkinson-plus syndromes, Huntington’s disease, dystonia, ataxia, chorea, tardive syndromes, psychogenic movement disorders and tics.

I have been married to my husband, Travis, for many years. We have four children – two boys and two girls. In addition to spending time with my family, I enjoy horseback riding, walking, hiking, cross country skiing, traveling and reading non-fiction books.
