Patient education is an important part of my practice. I take time to discuss my patient’s concerns, treatment options and involve them in the decision-making process.
In 1986, I earned my M.D. from the Medical University of Ohio in Toledo. I completed Residencies in General Surgery at Blodgett Memorial Medical Center in Grand Rapids, Michigan and in Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery at Loyola University- Stritch School of Medicine in Maywood, Illinois. I am Board Certified in Thoracic Surgery and General Surgery.
I take special interest in high risk cardiac surgery, cardiac transplantation and mechanical circulatory support.
Away from the clinic, I enjoy spending time with my family and all kinds of sports.
