I earned my medical degree from the University of Aleppo Faculty of Medicine in Aleppo, Syria. After medical school, I moved to the United States and completed my internal medicine residency through the University of Wisconsin Medical School at Sinai Samaritan Medical Center in Milwaukee. I later completed a gastroenterology fellowship at Sinai Samaritan Medical Center through the University of Wisconsin Medical School and an advanced endoscopy/endoscopic ultrasonography fellowship through the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.
As a board certified gastroenterologist, I have special interest in Helicobacter pylori, Hepatitis C, and advanced endoscopy. I currently serve as clinical assistant professor of medicine at the University of Wisconsin in Milwaukee and am director of their gastroenterology fellowship program.
